About

Neighborhood House is one of six Community Action Agencies (CAA) serving the residents of King County, Washington. Founded in 1906, Neighborhood House is one of the oldest social service agencies in the Seattle region. Neighborhood House provides services to address the needs of entire families with a focus on low-income community members, public housing residents, immigrants, and refugees. Neighborhood House offers the following programs: early childhood education, youth development, employment and adult education, housing stability, aging and disability services, community health, and more. Please visit the Neighborhood House website to learn more about their values as an organization and for program for eligibility.

  • This service area includes programs such as GED classes, citizenship services, ELL, and cooking and nutrition.

  • This service area includes programs such as after school and summer programs, head start, childcare, and housing services for youth.

  • This service area includes programs such as adult day centers, food home delivery, housing services, and utility discounts.
  • Employment Assistance
  • This service area includes programs such as career planning, social enterprises, job assistance, vocational skills and training and WorkFirst community jobs.
  • Healthcare
  • This service area includes programs such as child dental services, mental health services and substance abuse prevention and counseling.
  • Housing Assistance
  • This service area includes programs such as affordable housing, permanent supportive housing, rental assistance, and homelessness prevention and rapid rehousing.
