Solid Ground is one of six Community Action Agencies serving the residents of King County, Washington. Solid Ground, originally named the Fremont Public Association, was founded in 1974 by community leaders and concerned citizens of one of Seattle’s then most economically devastated communities, Fremont. Today, Solid Ground assists more than 75,000 households annually to overcome poverty and to build better future.

Solid Ground leads with their values: social justice, compassion, collaboration, accountability, respect, and integrity. For example, Solid Ground believes that housing and stability are foundational to ending poverty.
