About

Multi-Service Center (MSC) has been serving South King County residents since 1971 – that is over 50 years! Multi-Service Center works to address the causes and barriers of poverty and homelessness with comprehensive and holistic services that help lift people from crisis and vulnerability to self-sufficiency and stability. MSC offers many programs to serve the needs of their community. Service areas include: housing and rental assistance, food and clothing, energy assistance, education, employment, youth and young adult services, and access to a long-term care ombudsman! Services

  • Adult Education
  • This service area includes programs such as GED classes, citizenship services, ELL, and cooking and nutrition.
  • Children & Youth Services
  • This service area includes programs such as after school and summer programs, head start, childcare, and housing services for youth.
  • Disability + Senior Services
  • This service area includes programs such as adult day centers, food home delivery, housing services, and utility discounts.
  • Employment Assistance
  • This service area includes programs such as career planning, social enterprises, job assistance, vocational skills and training and WorkFirst community jobs.
  • Emergency Services
  • This service area includes programs such as food banks, emergency shelters, motel vouchers and rental/mortgage assistance.
  • Energy Assistance & Weatherization
  • This service area includes programs such as emergency shut off prevention, energy assistance, heating system repairs, minor home repair and weatherization.
  • Housing Assistance
  • This service area includes programs such as affordable housing, permanent supportive housing, rental assistance, and homelessness prevention and rapid rehousing.
  • Veterans
  • This service area includes programs such as counseling for veterans, housing services for veterans, and supportive services to veterans and families.
  • Victim & Legal Services
  • This service area includes programs such as crime victims advocacy, domestic violence prevention, legal referrals and services, and voicemail.

Programs

Washington's Poverty Fighting Network: 30 Community Action Agencies equipping low-income individuals and families in all 39 counties to exit poverty.
